Advertising Campaign

For our advertising campaign, we wanted to emphasize the potential of Uptown as well as shine a light onto the creativity and artistic nature of the community.

Our hero advertisement seeks to show this artistic nature of Uptown by comparing the neighborhood to a canvas. This ad then seeks to appeal to prospective residents of Uptown by asking how they will paint it.

We decided to create two versions of this advertisement, one which features the signature "UP" of Uptown Partners and another which has the full name of the organization

This is done to differentiate which version to use inside of Uptown itself, which is the version using only the logo, and the version to use when advertising to people outside of the area who are potential residents to spread awareness about Uptown Partners and encourage them to find out more about both the organization and neighborhood.

For our first supporting advertisement, we sought to show the location of Uptown on a map of the neighborhood and denoting it as the viewer's "canvas" to go along with the our main theme centered around art. To further this, we highlighted Uptown on the map with watercolor to draw attention to the neighborhood on the map.

The second supporting advertisement was inspired by the idea of a postcard. Once again, we wanted to call back to the central idea of Uptown as a canvas and calling to the audience that they can make their own unique and creative impact on the neighborhood.

Utilizing the #thisisuptown as well as placing the Uptown Partners website at the bottom of the ad was done to both increase engagement across social media via the hashtag and draw more traffic to the Uptown Partners website.

For our final supporting advertisement, we sought to draw inspiration from Urban art and utilize the words that describe Uptown both now and in the near future with the completion of the EID plan. This blank wall serves as a canvas in this advertisement and is painted with the signature Uptown Partners colors as well as drawing attention to the positives and opportunity present in Uptown.
